It’s the perfect weekend to enjoy the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special without needing a subscription.

WASHINGTON — This fall, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” won’t be broadcast on television, but you can catch it online for free — for a limited time this weekend.

In 2020, Apple TV+ secured exclusive rights to the Charlie Brown series and the Peanuts holiday specials, a deal now extended through 2030.

Previously aired on traditional TV, this marks the fourth consecutive year the Thanksgiving special is exclusively available on Apple TV+. Subscribers can access the Peanuts classics anytime throughout the season.

But don’t exclaim “good grief” just yet. Apple has announced it will once again offer all the Charlie Brown holiday specials to non-subscribers at no cost for a couple of days, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts gang.

This year, fans can watch the “Peanuts” special on Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16 for free.

Those hearing Christmas jingles this month will have to wait to watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” for free. Apple announced that the “Peanuts” classic will be available to non-subscribers on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.

Apple is currently producing a brand-new animated feature starring Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang. The project was first announced in 2023.
