Authorities across the East Coast were searching for Mitchell.
A sheriff’s office in South Carolina posted on social media Saturday that deputies responded to a “suspicious vehicle” that was later connected to Mitchell. The vehicle was taken into custody.
Then, on Tuesday, deputies in Volusia County said Mitchell was believed to be on foot in the West DeLand area. He was considered to be armed and dangerous.
