EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — On Wednesday afternoon, October 22, a vehicle chase in El Paso’s Lower Valley led to the capture of five migrants, as reported by U.S. Border Patrol.
The incident began just before noon when a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper, conducting a routine patrol, noticed a vehicle near the Yarbrough Drive exit. The trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over for a traffic violation.
Instead of stopping, the vehicle sped off, initiating a pursuit. The chase concluded when the vehicle halted, prompting the occupants to flee on foot near the intersection of Yarbrough Drive and Mazatlan Drive, close to Bel Air High School, as detailed by Border Patrol officials.
