Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Illinois Politician Darren Bailey’s Son and Family Members

In a tragic event, former Illinois state senator and Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey is mourning the loss of four family members following a helicopter crash in Montana.

According to a statement from Bailey’s campaign, his son Zachary Bailey, daughter-in-law Kelsey Bailey, and two of their children, 12-year-old Vada Rose and 7-year-old Samuel, perished in the accident.

“Their 10-year-old son, Finn, was not on the helicopter and remains safe,” the campaign shared on social media. “Darren and Cindy Bailey are devastated by this unimaginable tragedy. They are drawing strength from their faith, family, and the outpouring of prayers and support from many. The Baileys are profoundly grateful for the kindness extended to them and request privacy as they grieve and cherish their loved ones during this heartbreaking period.”
