NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — A tragic discovery was made in a Neptune Beach home on Saturday night when two individuals and their dog were found deceased. This information was confirmed by a commander from the Neptune Beach Police Department.
The incident unfolded in the vicinity of North Street. According to officials, a concerned family member who had gone to check on the couple discovered the bodies. Both individuals were 77 years old.
Authorities have indicated that there is currently no suspicion of foul play, suggesting the deaths may have been accidental.
As of 8:00 p.m., the section of North Street between 3rd Street and Second Street remains closed off as police continue their investigation.
There is no threat to the public at this time, officials say.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is set to take over the investigation.
