Travis Hunter is on track to resume “full football activities” in about half a year.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed that rookie wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter will sit out the rest of the 2025 NFL season following a successful knee surgery.

Hunter was placed on the injured reserve list on October 31 after sustaining a non-contact knee injury during a practice session the previous day.

According to the Jaguars, Hunter underwent a successful procedure on Tuesday morning to repair a lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. The surgery was performed in Dallas by Dr. Dan Cooper, with assistance from the team’s physician, Dr. Kevin Kaplan.

Though Hunter will miss the remainder of the season, the Jaguars anticipate his return to “full football activities” within the next six months.

The Jaguars take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST at EverBank Stadium.
