U.S. drug shortage has doctors scrambling for alternative treatments – CBS News

A nationwide drug shortage is forcing doctors and pharmacists to scramble for alternative treatments. According to the FDA, more than 130 drugs were in short supply as of this week — 14 of which are cancer treatments. Axios health care editor Tina Reed joins CBS News to discuss the reasons behind the shortage and how the FDA is addressing it.
