Vikings’ Jordan Addison Redeems Himself with Game-Winning Touchdown Following Early Benching

Jordan Addison went from the doghouse to the end zone during Sunday’s game in London.

Despite missing the first quarter due to skipping a walkthrough, the Vikings wide receiver returned to score the decisive touchdown in the final minute, leading to a 21-17 victory against the Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Such actions don’t reflect our standards,” Minnesota coach Kevin O’Connell stated to the media after the match. “I wanted to ensure he was held accountable for that, and he understands his responsibility.”

Addison concluded the game with five receptions for 41 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz with 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter to secure the lead.

O’Connell added that Addison addressed the team before the game after skipping the unspecified walkthrough.

“First of all, he’s a stud,” Wentz said afterward about Addison. “[Vikings receiver] Justin Jefferson is as good as it gets, and gets all the recognition, but Jordan Addison has been nothing but a baller since I’ve seen him live these last couple of weeks.”

Jefferson said he “had words” with Addison over the missed walkthrough.

“I’ve just got to do better keeping [Addison] under my wing and making sure that he has his head on straight,” Jefferson said.
