Outer bands could move onshore Sunday night into Monday, which could occasionally bring some areas on the First Coast heavy rain and gusty winds.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The First Coast News Weather Team is issuing a Weather Impact Alert for Monday because of potential coastal impacts from the tropics.

.Soon to be Tropical Storm Imelda will be impacting the First Coast and southeast Georgia by the first of this week. Winds will begin building Monday afternoon, reaching their peak around the area Tuesday. You can read the latest on Tropical Depression 9 and the rest of the forecast by clicking here.

WHEN: Monday, Sept 29 and Tuesday, Sept 30

IMPACTS: Dangerous rip currents, large waves of 6+ feet, coastal flooding at times of high tide.
