David Barby, also known as David John Barby, was a television personality and an expert on antiques. He appeared on a variety of BBC shows, including Bargain Hunt, Flog It, and other antiques-related programs.
He began investing in antiques at the age of 12, and by the age of 21, he was a member of the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers. He was so invested in the business that he dropped out to pursue it.

Presenter of Flog It David Barby died on July 25, 2012, as a result of an illness. Despite the fact that people claim he was killed in a major accident, he died as a result of a brain hemorrhage.
Even back then, when social media was not as prevalent as it is today, tributes and obituaries for the expert poured in. Even today, when an antique show airs on television, people miss his witty wit and unending smile.
That man was the reason the BBC antique was entertaining to watch. Today, when we look through Twitter, we see recent discussions about how good of a host he was and how no one could ever replace him.

Yes, David Barby was married. Even though very little has been talked about his wedding and life with his wife, he tied the knot to his beautiful better half Janet Barby.
Her whereabouts in 2022 are not known but the marriage ended with David’s death in 2012. Similarly, there is little to no information available on his children and other family members.
The internet does not have the couple’s wedding date as well. Hence, it is difficult to find out how long have they been together.

Talking about his age, David was 69 years old at the time of his demise. Born in Rugby Warwickshire in 1943, he dedicated his entire life to the antique business.
