He abandoned his wife and their infant son in Canada and is now in Ukraine. Wali’s wife and family must conceal their identities for security reasons. He’s heading to Ukraine for humanitarian reasons.
He got contacted by an acquaintance who has been helping in managing ‘neutral humanitarian aid convoys’ in southeast Ukraine. According to The Sun, he crossed over from Poland and traveled against thousands of Ukrainian refugees who fled in opposite directions.
