Tanya Fear (born Tanyaradzwa Fear) is a British actress, best known for her role as Dr Jade McIntyre on the television program Doctor Who. The actress has made an appearance in the movie Kick-Ass 2 as well as the TV shows Spotless and Endeavour.
She moved to Los Angeles after major roles in BBC Drama Dr. Who and the classic independent film, A Moving Image. A BAFTA newcomer, she is currently trying to further her career in Acting, Screen Writing and Comedy in Los Angeles.
Tanya Fear Missing
She was reported missing in Los Angeles on 9 September 2021 and found safely on 13 September 2021. A tweet from the FindTanyaFear Twitter account, which is run by her family, said in the following statement: “It is with great pleasure and relief to report that Tanya has been found safe by police today. We understand she is not physically harmed but as a precaution, is being assessed at a local hospital. We wish to thank police, members of the public for their efforts in locating Tanya, as well as the outpouring of concern and support over the last several days. Tanya’s family are relieved and extremely grateful.”
A statement posted on the Twitter account earlier on Monday said she left without her mobile phone or purse and was reported missing by a friend. The statement said her family wanted to launch their own search and were applying for visas to travel to the states.
The statement, issued before she was found, said: “The family of Tanya Fear are asking the Los Angeles Police Department to investigate the disappearance of the British actor.
“Tanya Fear left her Hollywood Bowl apartment on Thursday the 9th of September without her cell phone and purse. She was reported missing by a friend.
“After Tanya’s family in the UK contacted the UK Foreign Office, a local LAPD police officer was deployed to visit Tanya’s house but the actor was not home. She was last seen by friends on Thursday 9 September 2021 at 10pm LA time.”

Her uncle, Jonathan Marimo, said at the time: “We are deeply worried about Tanya’s whereabouts, she is a bubbly, intelligent young woman who studied at Christ Hospital Boarding School and Kings College University in London”.
Tanya’s mother, Yvonne Marimo, said: “I am devastated about this situation, and I appeal to anyone with information to please come forward to bring our daughter back home safely.”
