Reportedly, she contracted the coronavirus on 4 January 2022. It caused her to be off from The View. Although she felt fine, she laid low. Before testing positive, she went on a vacation to Florida with her kids and met her parents and siblings. 

Sara contacted her distraught husband, Max, upon her return. As a result, she and her entire family were quarantined in their home. She mentioned how their house was a blessing for them because it was impossible for them to do so in an apartment.

In addition to the two doses of vaccine, she received a booster dose.

On 11 January 2022, she provided an update on the coronavirus situation, Omricorn variant.

Sara’s twin sister is said to be Ginger Zee. There aren’t many specifics about her. She has three siblings, two brothers and a sister, in addition to herself. Dick and Sandy Haines are their parents. Her mother suffers from Parkinson’s disease.
