He was with Anne in her final hours, sitting beside her hospital bed. In a private ceremony, she will be laid to rest in their family’s mausoleum at Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans.
Christopher, his son, announced the news on his official Twitter account. “Earlier tonight, my mother, Anne Rice, passed away due to complications resulting from a stroke,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
He continued, “She died nearly nineteen years to the day after my father, Stan, died. I just posted the following statement on her Facebook page.”
