West Ham United FC was forced to issue a statement in response to the disturbing video. They have promised to handle the situation internally.

“West Ham United unreservedly condemn the actions of our player Kurt Zouma in the video that has circulated,” the EPL club said.

“We have spoken with Kurt and will handle the situation internally, but we would like to state unequivocally that we do not condone animal cruelty.”

The RSPCA has criticized Zouma for his actions and has labeled them as “Upsetting”.

“It is never acceptable to kick, hit, or slap an animal, for any reason,” they said in a statement.

“We thank those who report suspected animal suffering to us, and we want to reassure people that we will always investigate and, if necessary, investigate any complaints about animal welfare made to us.”
