Ahkil Nasir Crumpton was apprehended by the sheriff’s office with the assistance of numerous agencies. On March 19, 2021, Elijah Wood, 23, was fatally shot in a shop on Highway 441.

According to the sheriff’s report, the investigation got a big break when the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the FBI uncovered and matched the shell casing of a gun with a shell casing found at the RaceTrac station.

According to investigators, Crumpton, who is from Philadelphia, played football at UGA in 2017 and 2018 and will continue to study there until 2021.

Crumpton is suspected of a murder in Philadelphia, but no details regarding the crime have been disclosed. Given the severity of the act, Ahkil might face charges including first-degree murder, unlawful weapon usage, and a slew of other offenses. If he is convicted, then he might have to face a minimum sentence of 20 years in jail.
