Kevin Harned is an American meteorologist who is currently working as a Chief Meteorologist at WAVE 3. He joined the station in June 1998. He attended and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in Synoptic Meteorology in 1998.

Harned began his career at WAVE 3 in June 1998. He has worked with the area’s best meteorologists: Tom Wills and John Belski, Kevin’s mentor, and many others. He was promoted to his current position as Chief Meteorologist in September 2010.

During his time, he was one of the youngest members of the American Meteorological Society to receive the AMS Television Broadcast Seal of Approval. He has hosted WAVE 3 Listens, filled in on the anchor desk, and even delivered breaking news. Currently, he can be seen on weeknights at 5, 5: 30, 6, 7, and 11 pm weathercasts.
