The Illawarra Hawks will go against New Zealand Breakers in the NBL Australia match on October 17 at WIN Entertainment Centre (Wollongong). The NBL is currently in its fourth round, and this has been a fantastic time to see some of the most exciting matches. With the addition of former NBA players or guys who have regularly attended NBA training camps, as well as some incredible Australian and foreign talent that can rock the globe, we have seen the NBL situation improve. The Illawarra Hawks and the New Zealand Breakers will square off in this thrilling match. The South East Melbourne Phoenix were defeated by the New Zealand Breakers 85:77 thanks to Rob Loe’s 18-point performance off the bench. On the other hand, despite George King’s performance off the bench, the Illawarra Hawks were defeated by the Perth Wildcats 71:77.

The Breakers have performed admirably thus far, winning two of their three games, and their defense has really aided them. In their most recent game, they held the Phoenix to just 36% shooting while hitting 42% of their own shots. Sure, the offense needs some work, but as long as the defense plays tough, the job will get done. Izayah Le’afa cranked up the heat with 10 assists in the most recent game, leading the squad to an incredible night with five players scoring in double figures. The Hawks, on the other hand, have struggled to get going, losing three of their four games.

Since it was announced that Justin Robinson is gone for the season, things have become worse. In their most recent game, they had a terrible time controlling their turnovers and made 18, compared to the Wildcats’ 7. The problem is that the starting lineup struggled to string together solid possessions, and if it weren’t for George King’s 25-point outburst, the team would have fallen by a bigger margin.

Illawarra Hawks vs New Zealand Breakers: Predicted Lineup

New Zealand Breakers: Barry Brown Jr., Jamaal Brantley, Derek Pardon, William McDowell-White, Izayah

Illawarra Hawks: Wani Swaka, George King, Samson Froling, Tyler Harvey, Lachlan Dent
