Rubio Canvasser Brutally Attacked in Hialeah, FL After Being Told 'Republicans Aren't Allowed' Here – RedState

It’s been exceedingly difficult for Republican campaigns in California to get volunteers who will do door-to-door canvassing this cycle, with many citing fears of violence and even fears of being doxxed by progressives who’ve been doing things like taking photos of attendees at rallies to attempt to identify them and publicize their professions and workplaces. Given the level of vitriol aimed at Republicans here, and incidents where canvassers have been harassed or even shot (an 84-year-old woman canvassing for a pro-life initiative in Michigan was shot) those fears are not unfounded.

One does not picture such a thing happening in Florida to a canvasser out wearing a Marco Rubio t-shirt and a Ron DeSantis hat, but unfortunately a Republican canvasser was “brutally attacked by 4 animals who told him Republicans weren’t allowed in their neighborhood in Hialeah, Florida,” Sunday night, according to a tweet from Sen. Rubio. The male canvasser suffered internal bleeding, a broken jaw, and will need facial reconstructive surgery.

The pictures are devastating.

Former Florida GOP Chair Blaise Ingoglia called on Florida Democrats to “condemn this despicable act ASAP,” even as Democrats nationally have been ratcheting up their violent narratives against Republicans.

Other than Rubio’s and Ingoglio’s tweets, official information about the incident hasn’t been shared as of the time of publication.
