Shay Johnson is a doting mom. The television personality shared pictures of her daughter, Shajiyah, from a recent photo session.
“Happy Thanksgiving peeps from my #SweetPea @iamshajiyah and I,” Shay wrote to her social media fans on Thanksgiving Day. “This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for YOU @iamshajiyah,” Johnson shared with her daughter. “I prayed for you and now you’re here. You’re everything I needed and more.”
Shay Johnson welcomed her daughter in May. The television personality took to Instagram to share the news of her little one’s arrival.
“Had a safe delivery,” Shay told her supporters. “@iamshajiyah is perfect,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “Six pounds [and] 15 ounces,” Johnson continued. “I’m officially a part of the mommy club. This process was emotional but thank you ALL for your support.”

Shay Johnson has wanted to be a mom for quite some time. “This is something that I’ve wanted for a long time,” the celebrity mom shared during a recent interview. “It definitely came unexpectedly, but I’m blessed,” Shay continued.
“Even though I had complications during pregnancy, I am truly blessed,” Johnson shared with the press. “She’s here! She’s healthy! And I’m healthy. That’s all that matters.”
Shajiyah’s father is not one to be in the spotlight as much. He does, however, play an active role in her life.
“He’s not going anywhere,” Shay said of her daughter’s dad. “That’s his little princess,” Johnson continued. “He’s a little controlling, but he knows more than I know when it comes to raising a baby,” the new mom admitted when describing how she co-parents with her daughter’s father. “He’s a little more experienced than I am.”
Shajiyah made Shay a member of the mom club. Is Johnson hoping to add another baby to her family? “I honestly think I want one more,” the celebrity mom shared during a recent interview with BET. “In the perfect world, I would want a boy,” the television personality shared.
