As a toddler, it was evident that Michael Kutcher was not keeping up with his twin, Ashton. He was experiencing developmental delays in his physical health as well as his mental health, so the family took him back to the doctor.
After running some tests, it was provided that Michael was battling with damages caused by “irreversible neurological pathologies.” He was then diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Already facing daily challenges due to cerebral palsy, Michael Kutcher was later diagnosed with heart failure. At the young age of thirteen, he was told by doctors he had three to four weeks left before his diagnosis would kill him. He held on and kept fighting, however, and defied the odds thanks to a heart transplant.
