Jameela Jamil Illness- What Medical Condition Does She-Hulk Actress Have?

Jameela Jamil no longer cares if haters claim she’s “annoying” about her health issues — she just wants to “save some motherf – – king lives.”

The 36-year-old “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” star started her three-minute TikTok video by demonstrating the flexibility in her cheeks.

“Jesus Christ, that is just my face; that’s not an app, it’s not a filter. The British woman murmured as she pulled her skin away from her mouth, “Look how elastic that is.

She emphasized that the seemingly funny party trick was actually an indication of the connective tissue abnormalities associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Jamil hyperextended her arm and said, “It’s about my joints. As you can see, nothing bends correctly; everything bends both correctly and incorrectly.

“Yes, that is very sexy, thanks for asking,” she joked.

The actress from “The Good Place” continued by saying that she wanted to raise awareness about the issue “in spite of the fact that people like to make fun of me over my health.”

Jamil faced criticism for his extensive medical history, which includes struggles with cancer, Ehlers-Danlos disease, injuries sustained in auto accidents, mercury poisoning, seizures, and encounters with “killing bees.”

Jamil posted the video on Instagram with, “The internet made fun of me over my health concerns, and it made me suicidal for a bit. However, they are just a bunch of stupid asses that lack even a fraction of our fortitude; they can’t fathom enduring what we endure, so they chose to mislead us about it all instead.

Jamil also discusses how Ehlers-Danlos disease affects bruising, bleeding, healing, and childbirth in the video.

“I’m done avoiding the people who MATTER when discussing this extremely important matter since a lot of people who are fortunate to have good health are soulless. Together, let’s spread the word about this issue and save some motherf – king lives! Jamil added a caption.

She urged viewers to pay attention to their health and strive to get an early diagnosis in order to prevent future medical difficulties as she put the video to a close.

The actress pleaded for people to “get checked” when they suspect they may be experiencing health problems.
Jameela Jamil attends the 29th annual ELLE Women in Hollywood celebration on Oct. 17 in Los Angeles, California.

She expressed sympathy for those who are struggling but still seem “healthy,” saying, “People either don’t believe us, especially when we’re youngsters, because ‘who could possible have this many ailments?'”

She concluded, “I love you, I’m with you, go get tested.”

Jamil has long been open about having mental health problems. Prior to that, she asserted that Piers Morgan’s “campaign of lies” against her nearly resulted in her death in 2020.

What Is Ehlers-Danlos syndromes

Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) are a group of rare inherited conditions that affect connective tissue.

Connective tissues provide support for skin, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, internal organs and bones.

Symptoms of Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)

There are several types of EDS that may share some symptoms.

These include:

  • an increased range of joint movement (joint hypermobility)
  • stretchy skin
  • fragile skin that breaks or bruises easily

People can experience EDS in various ways. While the symptoms can be incapacitating for some people, for others, the illness is rather benign.

The many forms of EDS are brought on by genetic flaws that weaken connective tissue.

The defective gene may have been acquired from either one parent or both parents, depending on the kind of EDS.

Sometimes a person may not inherit a defective gene; rather, it first manifests itself in them.

Some of the severe, uncommon varieties can be fatal.

People with hEDS may have:

  • joint hypermobility
  • loose, unstable joints that dislocate easily
  • joint pain and clicking joints
  • extreme tiredness (fatigue)
  • skin that bruises easily
  • digestive problems, such as heartburn and constipation
  • dizziness and an increased heart rate after standing up
  • problems with internal organs, such as mitral valve problems or organ prolapse
  • problems with bladder control (urinary incontinence)
  • fragile skin that can split easily, especially over the forehead, knees, shins and elbows
  • smooth, velvety skin that bruises easily
  • wounds that are slow to heal and leave wide scars
  • hernias and organ prolapse
  • a risk of organ problems, such as bowel tearing, womb tearing (in late pregnancy) and partial collapse of the lung

EDS can be inherited, but it happens by chance in someone without a family history of the condition.
