Portsmouth Police Officers responded to several calls regarding people who refused to leave businesses on Tuesday.

Portsmouth Police responded to the Speedway gas station on Gallia Street just before 2:30 am for a report of a man who had refused to leave the property. The caller said the man had been sitting outside on the sidewalk for some time.

An officer spoke to the man and advised him he could be charged with criminal trespass. The man left the scene without incident.

Just after 5 pm, Burger King employees called police to report a man refusing to leave the restaurant. Officers caught up with the man at the Magic Tunnel Car Wash and took him into custody for disorderly conduct.
