Sarah was a prolific child actor. An agent discovered the Grudge actress in a restaurant at age four. Barely a week after their first encounter, she was already signed to appear in her first telemovie, An Invasion of Privacy.

Following her first role, Sarah starred in other projects, including Spenser: For Hire, Over the Brooklyn Bridge, High Stakes, andthepopular soap opera, All My Children. Her adorable face and sharp wit established Sarah as a budding child star in the ’80s and ’90s.

Way back when Sarah Michelle Gellar was a child star, her forte wasn’t just in movies; she also landed gigs in commercials. As was in line with her skillset, the For Hire actress was hired by Burger King for a commercial that proved expensive for the youngster. Sarah’s character in the commercial denounced McDonald’s for making smaller burgers than Burger King, and in response, McDonald’s filed a lawsuit that included the youngster.

Although the franchise resolved to settle the case out of court, Sarah was completely banned from McDonald’s. In a 2004 interview with Sunday Express, the actress later admitted that the ban created a gap in her childhood. “McDonald’s is where all your friends have their birthday parties, so I missed out on a lot of apple pie,” she shared.

In the early ’90s, Sarah Michelle Gellar’s diligence soon paid off when she landed her breakthrough role after appearing in a series of small-screen and big-screen projects. While opinions differ on her breakthrough role, Sarah appeared in TV series between 1992 and 1993 that broke her into the limelight.

In 1992, Sarah’s role in Swans Crossing put her forward for two award nominations. A year later, she played another leading role in All My Children. The actress would go on to win an award and several movie opportunities for her role in the soap opera.

Sarah Michelle Gellar has taken two major breaks from her craft in nearly four decades of acting. The actress embarked on her first break in 2009 after giving birth to her daughter Charlotte. Two years later, Sarah returned to the screens after figuring she could combine being a mom and an actress.

She took a second break in 2014 after her Crazy Ones co-star Robin Williams died. Sarah was forced to take a break from acting to be present in the formative life of her growing children.

3 Sarah Michelle Gellar Co-Founded A Company

In October 2015, Sarah Michelle Gellar became the latest celebrity entrepreneur when she launched Foodstirs with her co-founders. For the I Know What You Did Last Summer actress, being a celebrity made it harder to start a business, but if there was one thing she learned from acting, it was never to give up.

The startup is a culinary company that promotes healthy but delicious food choices through kitchen products, including baking kits and box mixes. The brand has been largely successful and has retailers, including Walmart and Starbucks.

Wolf Pack is Jeff Davis’ new creation. And amid Sarah Michelle Gellar’s return to TV for Paramount+’s Wolf Pack, much interest has been kindled in the upcoming supernatural teen drama flick.

Wolf Pack is premised on two teenagers who discover for the first time that they are werewolves after a wildfire awakens a supernatural creature. A close bond forms between the two, who then band together with two other teenagers who shared the same experience many years ago.

Years after making guest and cameo appearances in TV series, Sarah Michelle Gellar is making a comeback as a main cast member-her first main role in years. The Buffy character actress will be starring in Paramount’s Teen Wolf flick as an arson investigator who gets caught up in a series of supernatural events.

Asides from her role, Sarah joined the creative team as an executive director, and one of her first moves was to make sure the new show wasn’t a repeat of the ‘toxic’ Buffy set. With her role in this project, it’s safe to say that the iconic actress is fully back in the swing of things.
