Roxy Horner Illness: Roxy Horner Type 1 diabetes Update
On Sunday, Roxy Horner posted open photos using her insulin pen while discussing her health.
The 31-year-old model and actor disclosed that she was given a type 1 diabetes diagnosis back in 2021.
She also stated that some days “are harder than others” when managing the illness in recent Instagram photos as she injected insulin while sitting in the back of a vehicle. She hadn’t been feeling well.
She wrote: ‘Shout out to all my T1 family. Can’t seem to get my glucose levels down today… Here’s me doing one of the few correction doses.
‘We don’t always get it right, some days are harder than others but that’s okay.’

“I’m grinning because even though I have a physical headache and feel ill today due to my diabetes, I still have so much to be thankful for,” the speaker said.
She displayed her legs while wearing a white blouse and a beige sweater, looking as stylish as ever.
It happens after Roxy’s boyfriend Jack Whitehall disclosed earlier this month that she passed out while he was hosting the Brit Awards in 2021.
Roxy had a health crisis before being diagnosed and required resuscitation by paramedics.
The night I was presenting the Brits, we discovered she had diabetes, Jack said to The Sun. She passed out due to a condition known as a diabetic hypo.
She was being revived by paramedics, but her sugar levels were perilously spiking.
We wound up in A&E on the night of the Brits, which undoubtedly gave the after-party a slightly different vibe.

People who struggle with diabetes need daily injections of insulin to keep their blood glucose levels under control.
What is Type 1 Diabetes?
Your blood glucose (sugar) level rises too much if you have type 1 diabetes.
It occurs when your body is unable to make enough insulin, a hormone that regulates blood glucose.
To keep your blood glucose levels under control, you must administer insulin shots every day.
Although managing type 1 diabetes can take some getting used to, you can still engage in all of your favorite activities. This manual is meant to assist.
Age or obesity are not associated with type 1 diabetes; type 2 diabetes is associated with these factors.
If untreated, a low blood sugar level can be hazardous and result in brain death.
Nowadays, Roxy wears a piece of technology that tracks her blood sugar levels and alerts her and others’ phones when it dips perilously low.
She earlier acknowledged that she struggled to manage her glucose levels and had a “rough time” with the condition.
She revealed to her 199k Instagram followers that she had been struggling to control her blood sugar levels in recent weeks because they had been yo-yoing erratically.
‘I throw up when I go too high and I’ve had a few too many hypos for my liking lately.
Roxy commended Jack last March for being her “rock” during the time of her Type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
“Jack has been my solid foundation; he is so lovely.” When I was diagnosed, he was present. He has been my family because both my parents and I was raised in Australia. We’re incredible,’ she gushed to The Sun.
She told the newspaper how the pandemic caused her symptoms to worsen and made her feel the need to see a doctor.
“I felt drained and exhausted for a very long time, and I had no energy.” I couldn’t even go for a walk because it was so exhausting and I felt like I was going to expire. I used to consume four to eight liters of water every day, she recalled.
Despite frequently attending the doctor and “knowing something was really wrong” with her body, Roxy was not given a diabetes test because she did not meet the requirements.
Desperate, the model drove herself to A&E, where she was eventually identified as having Type 1 diabetes, which results in abnormally high blood sugar levels.
