Ariana Madix and Daniel Wai have reportedly been dating casually for the past month.

Although many assumed the Vanderpump Rules star and fitness trainer hit it off with one another at Coachella, where they were spotted hugging and kissing last weekend, a new report claims their romance actually began at a wedding Ariana attended in Oaxaca, Mexico, last month.

“When a green texter invades Coachella, turn sound on at the end,” Daniel wrote in the caption of an April 18 video compilation captured at the music festival.

In the clip, Daniel was seen holding hands with Ariana as they also wore matching shoes, got IV drips together, and enjoyed hanging out with friends.

Although Ariana wasn’t mentioned in the caption, Daniel did respond to commenters who brought up the reality star.

“My girl looks so happy. Thanks for being there for her and showing her what life of happiness can truly be like,” one person wrote, prompting Daniel to share a praying hands emoji.

“Ariana though,” wrote another.

“Yes,” Daniel replied, along with a raised hands emoji and a heart-eyes emoji.

According to an April 20 report from Entertainment Tonight, Ariana and Daniel have been “casually dating” for about one month after meeting in Mexico in March. As the outlet explained, the new couple, who has several friends in common, “really hit it off” after Ariana’s messy split from Tom Sandoval, who was caught cheating with their castmate and friend, Raquel Leviss.

They’re “having fun” and “right now the two are casually hanging out with no label,” an insider explained, noting that Ariana’s friends think Daniel is “a breath of fresh air.”

In addition to attending several shows with Ariana at Coachella, Daniel also went with her to get her tattoo.

“Ariana was with Daniel at the Camp Poosh party yesterday at around 4:30 p.m. PT,” an eyewitness said. “They stood together arm-in-arm while Ariana waited to get a tattoo. When she was consulting with the tattoo artist, Ariana and Daniel seemed comfortable together. Dayna Kathan was also with Ariana and was in support of her getting her tattoo. Dayna was standing by Ariana’s side.”

As Pump Rules fans may have seen, Sandoval addressed Ariana’s new relationship with Daniel at LAX on Tuesday as he jetted off to the Canyon Ranch in Tuscon, Arizona.

“I love that,” he told TMZ. “I do [want her to move on], I really do … I’m really happy.”
