Gerard Pique, 36, cosies up to girlfriend Clara Chia, 24, in Barcelona 

Gerard Pique and Clara Chia put on a cosy display as they enjoyed a romantic stroll in Barcelona. 

The couple, who went public with their romance last year in the wake of the footballer’s split from Shakira, have not been shy of flaunting their romance. 

And the pair packed on the PDA yet again as they got out for some fresh air and to soak up the sunshine. 

Gerard, 36, lovingly wrapped his arm around Clara, 24, as they cuddled up close on their stroll. 

Opting for a casual ensemble, the former Barcelona FC star paired an oversized taupe T-shirt with loose jeans and blue Nike trainers.

Clara looked effortlessly stylish in a navy summer dress that she layered beneath a leather jacket and paired with black trainers.  

Gerard’s split from Shakira was confirmed last May after a relationship lasting 11 years.

Their breakup was not entirely unexpected as Spanish tabloids had already claimed the couple were on the verge of breaking up, with sources claiming Gerard had cheated on the star.

Her brief statement read: ‘We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.’ 

Spanish outlet El Periodico reported that the couple had been living separately for weeks after he was kicked out of the family home by the pop star.

According to sources, the retired footballer was living a ‘party lifestyle’ after the split, living in a bachelor pad and enjoying nights out with his teammates.

In August 2022, Gerard went public with his new girlfriend Clara, after he was pictured kissing her at the Summerfest Cerdanya festival in Catalonia.

Clara is understood to have met Gerard after working at his company Kosmos, in the Public Relations office.

Meanwhile Shakira is said to have caught the eye of Tom Cruise at the Formula One Grand Prix in Miami last month. 

Yet according to Us Weekly, the singer isn’t head over heels for the Eyes Wide Shut star.

She allegedly finds the dating rumours ‘hilarious’ and has no plans to take things further. 

An insider revealed: ‘Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him.’
