Nancy Grace says the mother of missing Alabama teen, Natalee Holloway, will finally get a chance at justice as officials prepare to extradite murder suspect Joran van der Sloot from Peru to Alabama.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, a lawyer for van der Sloot said the extradition could occur on Tuesday, however, this timetable could not be confirmed. The extradition stems from claims that van der Sloot bilked Holloway’s mother, Beth, out of $25,100.

Beth paid van der Sloot in 2010 for details about the location of her daughter’s remains, but authorities say van der Sloot gave false information and failed to honor his promise, which led to a U.S. grand jury indicting him on charges of extortion and wire fraud.

Grace, who traveled to Aruba to trace the last steps of Natalee before her disappearance, says Beth has made “herculean” efforts to get justice for her daughter despite years of setbacks.

“It’s going to mean more than I can convey in words,” Grace told Fox News Digital. “I recently returned from Aruba with Natalee’s mother, Beth, where we retraced their steps as we knew them, trying to ferret out any suggestion of a tip, of a clue, of anything that had been left hidden.”

Grace recounted facing significant resistance during their encounter with the Aruba police when they asked about Natalee’s disappearance, causing Beth to once more experience a setback.

“Long story short, Natalee’s mother has never gotten justice,” Grace said.

Holloway vanished in 2005 while vacationing in Aruba days after graduating high school. Her remains have never been found, but van der Sloot, a Dutch national who lived on the Caribbean island, has long been suspected of playing a role in the disappearance of the American teen, who was 18 at the time.

The lawyer for Van der Sloot told the AP why his client agreed to the extradition: “He is imprisoned in the worst prison in the world. Any prison in the United States is a five-star hotel.”

Van der Sloot is currently serving prison time for an unrelated 2010 murder. He has never been charged with Natalee’s disappearance and presumed death.
