Jealous Ex-Boyfriend Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend’s Home, Shoots New Boyfriend In Head’ Deputies have taken a Georgia man into custody after he allegedly drove to his ex-girlfriend’s home, discovered her in bed with her new boyfriend, and shot him in the head.

According to 11 Alive News, the incident unfolded Sunday morning around 11 a.m. at a residence off Bonnies Way in Jackson. Police said the victim was conscious and cooperative when they arrived and answered questions about the incident.

It’s unclear exactly where in the head he was shot, but first responders rushed the victim to an area hospital following the shooting.

Officers told the network that they were initially called to reports of a possible home invasion and that they later learned it was a shooting.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, a database that collects information about shootings from across the country, there have been 28 shootings in Georgia since June 1 this year. Some 37 people were injured in those shootings.
