GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jaileen Damaris Pagan, 26, was arrested for the second time in 23 hours this morning after allegedly violating her pre-trial release conditions by posting about the victim on Facebook and contacting the victim’s mother, friend, and employer.

Pagan was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly shooting at two people at Lexington Crossing Apartments. She was released after posting $22,000 bail, with the condition that she not contact the victims directly or through a third party.

At about 5:39 p.m. yesterday, Pagan allegedly “tagged” the victim in a Facebook post from the “Medusa Dons” account, blaming the victim for her arrest. The “Medusa Dons” account also replied to Alachua Chronicle’s Facebook post about Pagan, stating that she was the person described in the article and that she had acted in self-defense.

At about 7 p.m., Pagan allegedly sent five text messages to the victim’s mother with screenshots of the charges on the court system’s website and advised the victim to get a lawyer.

At about 9 p.m., Pagan allegedly sent private Instagram messages to a friend of the victim regarding the incident.

Pagan also allegedly contacted the victim’s employer via email about the incident.

Following these reports, a Gainesville Police Department officer made contact with Pagan, and she reportedly admitted post-Miranda that she had posted on Facebook, tagging the victim, then later deleted the post. She reportedly denied messaging the victim’s mother and friend and emailing her employer. Pagan reportedly admitted that her nickname is Medusa because she had long hair in the past.

Bail information is unavailable on weekends.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
