Wayne Couzens – Police officer who murdered Sarah Everard after kidnapping her under the guise of an arrest has been sentenced to a whole-life prison term.

Wayne Couzens abducted the 33-year-old as she walked home from a friend’s house in south London on 3 March.

During the sentencing of Couzens, the judge said the case was “devastating, tragic and wholly brutal”.

Ms Everard’s family said they were relieved by the fact that Couzens would die in jail.

Speaking to reporters outside the Old Bailey following his sentencing, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick said she recognised that a “precious bond of trust” had been damaged by Couzens, who had “brought shame on the Met“.

Describing him as a “coward”, she said his crimes were “a gross betrayal of everything policing stands for”, adding: “I am so sorry.”

Wayne Couzens is a former police officer who was sentenced whole life in jail. He was convicted for kidnap, rape, and murder of Sarah Everard.

Judge Justice Fulford handed out the sentence while expressing the crime as grotesque. Couzens castes shameful doubt on the whole police force and the department.

How Old Are Wayne Couzens Children?

Wayne Couzens was raising two children of his own. But their age has not been revealed due to privacy concerns.

Wayne has been married to his wife Elena Couzens for 15 years. She graduated from the University of Donetsk with a degree in Biochemistry.

Despite Couzen being a father to his kids, it was Elena who has been doing all the parenting. She was busy to the point that she failed to notice anything strange happening at her house.

Wayne kidnapped the 33-year-old woman under the pretense of breaking the COVID Lockdown rule. She was kidnapped on 3rd March in Clapham

Sarah was walking back from her friend’s house when the police officer used his warrant card to handcuff her. 

Miss Everard was a marketing executive. She was raped and assaulted before her body was burned with fire.

Elena revealed in an interview that she had not noticed any stage behavior of her husband before and after the incident. She is as surprised as everyone by this gruesome murder.
