A news update was screened for the first 15 minutes of Murray’s time slot, which is a usual cover for Sky News in the event of a personal or technical interruption to the broadcast.

Political commentator Rita Panahi then went on air and announced she would be hosting the program for the night, replacing Murray.

Panahi explained that her colleague was feeling under the weather and that he would be back ‘very, very shortly’.

She was originally scheduled as a guest commentator on Murray’s show that night.

Sky News Australia has not confirmed or denied TV Blackbox’s claim that an ambulance was called to the station.

Alan Jones hurried over to Paul Murray Live after wrapping off his Sky News show, but Murray was nowhere to be found.

According to TV Blackbox, Paul Murray, who was unable to conduct his Tuesday night Paul Murray Live show, had to be taken to the hospital.

Rita Panahi, who had taken over for Paul after a 15-minute news report, finally opened the show. She said that he was sick and that he would be back “very, very soon.” Rita was supposed to be on display as a guest.

 

Messages of concern and best wishes for the missing host Murray Paul flooded the show’s Facebook page throughout the live broadcast.

Also, a Sky News Australia spokesman failed to confirm that an ambulance was dispatched to the studio.
