Who Is Mark Chapas Oswego East? Violet Patch Park Student Death Update – Individual who was found deceased in Violet Patch Park off Route 25 in unincorporated Oswego Township on Friday morning October 22.

Mark Chapas played Varsity football as a senior lineman (DE/DT) at Oswego East High School in Illinois. Oswego East’s regular-season finale against Plainfield North scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday has been canceled. Friday’s varsity game will be played at 1 p.m. Saturday with senior night to follow. The sophomore game will kick off at about 4 p.m.

Mark Chapas Had Been Reported Missing

Chapas was had been reported missing and search efforts were underway. A spokesman from the coroner’s office said Mark Chapas was pronounced dead at 10:50 a.m., and the cause of death was determined to be suicide.

Kendall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene at Violet Patch Park and closed a portion of Route 25 adjoining the park as they conducted their investigation, which is ongoing.

Mark Chapa Tributes

His father, Mark Chapas Sr confirmed his death in a statement on Facebook that reads, “To all my friends and family this morning my oldest son Mark Chapas jr. Passed away. Please keep my family in your prayers.”

Maria De Leon Manzo expressed her shock in the young soul passing writing in a comment, “Mark and Angela Balice Chapas how devastating and painful. I am so so sorry to hear this. Mark was such a sweet, caring wonderful young man. My heart breaks. I am so sorry for your loss, for the pain you are going through. My deepest most sincere condolences. I am praying for the three of you and your entire family. May he rest in peace ?

“Mark, I wish you and your family peace during this time. I know we just reconnected but if you and Angie need anything support wise -even a hot meal ordered please let me know,” wrote Karla Scherf.
