In a close contest, Daniel overcame his opponent Tameika Isaac Devin in the Tuesday runoff election.
Rickenmann received 53% of the vote, while Tameika received 48%.
With only 792 votes, he won the election.

The newly elected Mayor was the Columbia City Councilman and a business leader.
In February 2021, he announced that he would run for Columbia’s next Mayor just after Columbia’s then-mayor, Steve Benjamin, announced not to seek a fourth term for office.
Before the election, the newly elected Mayor’s major agendas were public safety, support for small businesses, infrastructure repair, affordable housing, employment, growth development, and innovation.

Daniel Rickenmann Family And Wife
Daniel Rickenmann’s family includes his wife, Dr Laura Rickenmann, and two daughters, Carlyle and Ellie.
His wife, Laura, is a well-known paediatrician.
Daniel was born to his mother, Anita, and father, whose name is unknown.
As per his website, his father passed away when he was seven years old.
Two years ago, his mom passed away at the age of 74 due to a neurological disorder.
