What Disease Does Randy Travis Have? Randy Travis has had a slew of medical issues over the last two decades. He was compelled to the point of being disabled. He fought his disease, however, and was able to revert to a healthy version of himself.

Randy Travis is a multi-genre record seller who has sold over 25 million albums in his career. In 2016, Randy was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Seven Grammy Awards are among his many honors.

In October 2016, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and he stunned the crowd by performing “Amazing Grace” for the first time in years after his stroke.

 

What Disease Does Randy Travis Have?

Randy Travis suffered from viral cardiomyopathy and flatlining in 2013, which caused him to remain in a coma and have a catastrophic stroke that was not diagnosed until days later.

After commencing therapy, Travis was diagnosed with Aphasia, which impaired his speech and posed further challenges to the Country legend’s recuperation.

Aphasia is a neurological disorder that impairs your capacity to communicate. Aphasia usually happens all of a sudden after a stroke or a head injury.

Why Is Randy Travis In A Wheelchair? Health Condition Update

Randy Travis does not require a Wheelchair now.

Randy Travis underwent brain surgery in 2013 and was hospitalized for six months while he regained his strength. With the assistance of his wife and physical treatment, he learned to walk and speak.

He also visited the 2019 CMA Fest, where he signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.

Randy’s then-fiancee Mary had similarly been advised by physicians that his chances of survival were barely one percent. They also suggested that she consider turning off his life support.

Mary, on the other hand, did not budge and remained by his side. Mary informed the medics that he had gripped her hand even when she was in a semi-coma and that they would battle this together.

Did Randy Travis Have A Stroke?

Randy Travis went to the emergency hospital in July 2013 with complaints of congestion. He had a major stroke a few days later as a consequence of his congestive heart failure.

This has harmed his entire left brain’s center area. His heart stopped totally at one point, and medics hurried to place him on life support and into an induced coma to preserve his brain.

Randy Travis Wife And Family Details

Mary Travis is the current wife of Randy Travis.

Travis and Elizabeth Hatcher separated on October 29, 2010, following a 19-year marriage, and their business connection subsequently dissolved. On March 21, 2015, he married Mary Travis.

Randy Travis and his wife, Mary Davis, presently reside on their ranch in Texas, undergoing physical rehabilitation. And he periodically makes special appearances at other events around the country.

The couple does not have any children together.
