The murder of Hannah Clarke and her children ignited a national debate in Australia concerning domestic abuse. There were also reports that he had a history of violence and misogyny.

In addition, he was subject to a domestic violence order as well as child custody orders after abducting his oldest daughter Aaliyah on Boxing Day 2019.

NRL: Who Is Hannah Clarke Husband Rowan Baxter?

Hannah Clarke’s husband Rowan Baxter is an NRL player and a murderer who killed his wife and children.

He set fire to the interior of the car quickly burning the children. Hannah was driving to drop their children at school while the kids were in the back seat. They burned to death being restrained by seat belts on 19 February 2020 in Camp Hill, Queensland.

She was able to make it out of the car and told witnesses that he had poured petrol on her. Rowan then tried to stop the people from putting out the fire before he stabbed himself to death.

Though she was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with burns to 97% of her body, she died.

 

Rowan is a former rugby league player, who dated Hanna, a 19-year-old teen, 11 years younger than her. He proposed to Hannah in 2011 and they married after a year in Kingscliff, New South Wales, in 2012.

The New Zealand-born rugby player had allegedly abused her emotionally, physically, sexually, and financially, during their marriage.

Moreover, he was also previously married to another woman.

Who are Rowan Baxter Parents And Family?

Rowan Baxter was born in New Zealand in Tauranga Region to his parents, whose names are unknown.

He had a brother named Charles Baxter, a former rugby star who used to play for Bay of Plenty Steamers.

 

Rowan and Hannah were separated about a year back before her demise. She then went to live with her parents in Camp Hill.

Hannah drove out of her Camp Hill home on Durimbil Street at 8.30 am with the three children in the back seat. He was waiting in a black Nissan Murano, which he borrowed from his aunt.

Rowan stopped her car in the street and jumped into the seat, armed with a knife and jerry container of fuel. He had bought it from a close-by gas station and poured it over the car and set it on fire.

Rowan Baxter Children Burned To Death In The Car

Rowan Baxter had three lovely children with Hannah Clarke. They were Aaliyah Baxter, 6 years old; Laianah Baxter, 4 years old; and Trey Baxter, 3 years old.

Additionally, he had a son Isaiah Jesse Rowan Baxter from his ex-wife. He then sued his step mom’s parents, Lloyd, and Suzanne Clarke.

 

Isaiah filed papers in Brisbane Supreme Court and asked for a part of the $3.6 million estates owned by the Clarke’s.

He claimed that no adequate provision was made for him in the estate. He needed funds to move on with his life, education, and treatments.
