The heinous shooting is one of the decade’s most heinous murders. It has resulted in the deaths of 20 young students ranging in age from 5 to 10.
Similarly, six adults were gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The awful historical event is being commemorated today for the ninth time.
What Happened To Adam Lanza?
Adam Lanza was a 20-year-old youngster suffering from Asperger syndrome. It is a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder that affects social behavior.
Additionally, the young man was the victim of depression, anxiety, and OCD. He has been described as a “fidgety” and “deeply troubled” kid.
According to reports, the mass murder resulted due to his deteriorating mental health. Also, due to the preoccupation with deadly weapons.
Lanza is believed to have shot his mother, before the mass shooting. The weapons he used for killing belonged to his mother.
He had shot his mother four times with a .22-calibre rifle. The killer then used his mother’s car to reach the Sandy Hook Elementary School.
In the latter shooting, the killer had used a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle. The deadly incident resulted in the death of 20 children and six teachers.
According to the reports, most of the shootings had taken place in the first grade. Only two of the victims were able to survive his deadly attack.
Ultimately, Lanza shot himself in the lower rear portion of his head. No suicide notes or reason behind the shooting were found.

Adam Lanza’s Parents: Meet His Father & Mother
Adam Lanza was born to parents Peter Lanza and Nancy Lanza. The young killer was actually born in Exeter, New Hampshire, on April 22, 1992.
Lanza’s father was a successful executive. His parents, however, were divorced when Adam was only 14 years of age.
He was then living with his mother in Stamford, Connecticut.
Although, Peter provided alimony to Adam and his mom, he had stopped seeing them in the years before the shooting.
It was his mother, Nancy Lanza who had purchased varieties of ammunition. She was responsible for leaving Adam alone with the firearms.
Adam also had one elder brother named Ryan, who was six years senior to him.

Updates On Sandy Hook Shooting Case
The aftermath of the shooting caused by Adam Lanza was very scary. Only two were able to survive the mass massacre.
In July 2016, the new Sandy Hook Elementary School was unveiled. It was securely rebuilt with a state grant of around $50 million.
Today it marks nine years after the dangerous incident. Connecticut has provided a tribute to the innocent 26 Sandy Hook victims.
