Love Island’s contestant Gemma Owens has made quite the impression on the reality show; being the daughter of former England star Michael Owens and his wife Louise Owens, Gemma heads forward to the villa to find that special one.
Her father, Michael, has a successful footballing career, playing as a striker for Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Manchester United. The former athlete retired from football in 2013.
Since retiring, Michael has become a commentator; however, his career as a pundit hasn’t been quite as noticeable. Michael wasn’t over the moon when he found out his young daughter would participate in the show; however, he was still supportive.
Gemma’s loving mother, Louise is a mother of four and a keen equestrian, who met her future husband when they were pupils at the same primary school. Soon the pair became loved-up while attending Hawarden High School in Wales.

Michael and Louise reportedly got engaged in 2004 on Valentine’s Day, which also happens to be her birthday. A year later, the couple got married on June 24, 2005, reported the BBC.
The couple held their wedding at Carden Park Hotel in Chester. Michael and Louise welcomed their daughter Gemma into the world in 2003, just before getting engaged.
Louise keeps things pretty from the public, though she has a public Instagram account that goes by the username @louise_owen80. She often shares photos with her husband and four children.
