Born as John Alan Means on April 24, 1993, John Means is a prominent baseball player demonstrating his prowess as a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He excelled at the collegiate level with the West Virginia Mountaineers. He went 6–2 with a 3.13 ERA in 12 starts.

In addition, the Orioles selected him from the 2014 MLB draft. However, Means made his MLB debut in 2018 and became an All-Star in 2019. 

On May 5, 2021, Means became the first player in the Orioles franchise history to throw a tenth no-hitter, making him the only pitcher in significant league history to pitch a near-perfect game.

The record-holding MLB athlete’s brother is also a baseball player. Commonly known as Jake, Jacob Means currently plays for the Kansas City Royals.

Mesmerizing everyone with his talents playing college baseball at Indiana State University, Jake was picked by the Kansas City Royals in the 22nd round (475th overall) of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft.

Jake’s passion for the sport is admirable. In 2019 he was named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year. 

The love for baseball in the family exists for both of the brothers. The brothers have a healthy, sustaining relationship. 

Two brothers, who refer to themselves as “The Means Boys,” frequently express admiration for each other on social media platforms Instagram by sharing their pictures. Their interactions are always positive and uplifting.

They grew up playing baseball with each other. They helped each other excel. None of them can imagine their success without the other.

Jake is in a relationship with Taylor Marie. The pair appears to be madly in love with each other.

MLB John Means Sister

John Means, the Baltimore Orioles’ pitcher, has no sister. He and his brother are the only siblings in the Means family.

Jill Means, the baseball star’s mother, takes great pride in her sons and their achievements and goes by “Mama Means” on Instagram.

She posts pictures of the Means boys frequently on Instagram. So, it is safe to assume Jill would have posted a photo of her daughter if she had one.

Through Jake, John does have a sister-in-law, Taylor Marie. The family is quite close to one another and spends quality time together.

John Means, the record-holding baseball athlete, was born to Alan and Jill Means. Alan tragically died from pancreatic Cancer at age 57 on August 5, 2020.

Alan’s death has left an unfillable hole in the hearts of the Means family. The delightful family has each other’s backs while navigating the grave loss.

Means is cheerfully wedded to the former professional soccer player Caroline Stanley. In 2020, the couple welcomed a son, McCoy, together.

The two are great parents, and baby McCoy is lucky to have them. They have a sustaining relationship even after being together for years.
