During a fight in 2020, Tory Lanez, 31, shot MEGAN Thee Stallion, a Grammy-nominated Wap vocalist, in the foot.
In July 2020, after leaving a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills residence, Megan Thee Stallion testified that Lanez discharged the gun at the back of her feet and yelled for her to dance as she walked away from an SUV in which they had been traveling.
In order to remove the bullet pieces, she needed surgery.
Megan Thee Stallion stated in a statement read aloud by the prosecution on Monday, “I have not experienced a single day of peace since I was viciously shot by the defendant.”
“Slowly but surely, I’m healing and coming back, but I will never be the same,” she said.

Tory, who had previously toured the UK and had two Top 40 singles, was first given a 13-year prison sentence by the prosecution, but he was later given a ten-year sentence on Tuesday night.
In December, a jury convicted him guilty of three felonies, including using a handgun to commit assault, transporting a loaded, unregistered firearm inside a moving vehicle, and carelessly using a firearm.
Megan stated in a victim impact statement that was read on her behalf: “He made a mockery of my trauma. He not only shot me. He attempted to portray himself as a victim while attempting to demolish my spirit and character.
“At first, he made an effort to refute the shooting. Then he tried to blame my former best friend for what happened.
He has blamed the system, the press, and most recently, his childhood trauma to absolve himself of responsibility in his tantrum of falsehoods.
“He must be made to bear the full weight of his heinous deeds and stand trial.”
