Despite the gravity of his injuries, Nkululeko Mkhize fought valiantly for his life but, tragically, succumbed to his wounds in the early hours of Monday, February 14, 2022, at 12:30 a.m.

According to Lt-Col Mavela Masondo, spokesperson for the Gauteng police, a murder case was opened. They began their pursuit of the suspects responsible for the tragic death of Nkululeko Mkhize.
