Who is Joy Millward?

Since he was first linked with Banksy 15 years ago, Robin has maintained a steadfast silence – as has his his wife, Joy Millward.

Joy, from the West Midlands, is believed to have met Robin in 2003, just before she started working as a researcher for Labour MP Austin Mitchell.

The couple got hitched in Las Vegas three years later, with a source later explaining they lived in an isolated community but had “little to do with even their closest neighbours”.

What does Joy Millward do for a living?

Joy Millward is a lobbyist in the United Kingdom.

In 2005 she set up Principle Affairs, a lobby group that supports charities.

A source told the Mail: “Even those they occasionally speak to have no idea who they really are.

“The only people who know his real identity are those in the inner circle, who have been vetted.

“Some of Joy’s relatives have not been told who her husband is or what he does.”

If ‘The artist known as Banksy’ is finally paraded before the courts, they may finally get their answer.

When did Joy Millward marry Robin Gunningham and how long have they been married?

The couple wedded in Las Vegas in 2006 and have now been married for 17 years.

In 2008 The Mail on Sunday published an investigation in which they named Gunningham as Banksy.

Far from the rebellious tearaway, what we know about Gunningham paints more a picture of middle class suburbia.

Robin, born in 1973 Bristol, also known to be Banksy’s long-supposed stomping ground, he went to public school Bristol Cathedral School.

Robin’s father, Peter Gordon Gunningham, was a retired contracts manager from the Whitehall area of Bristol.

His mother, Pamela Ann Dawkin-Jones, 67, was a company director’s secretary and grew up in the exclusive surroundings of Clifton and he has an older sister called Sarah.

When Robin was nine, the family moved to a larger home in the same street and it is there he spent his formative years and became interested in graffiti.
