A GROUP of alligators have been found living in a Pittsburgh home.
Humane officers were tipped off to one of the gators sitting on the porch of a home in Pennsylvania.

That sighting sent the officers to a nearby home where they found more alligators in a fenced-off pool.
Humane officers said the dropping temperatures made it an emergency situation and the 10 gators needed to be removed from the property.
“It was definitely crazy,” Tony Gularsky said to ABC affiliate WTAE.
“It would’ve been a rude awakening if I would’ve walked out and seen it.
“I might’ve had a heart attack.”

Investigators said there was previously a two-year investigation into the house where the alligators were found.
The gators are now safely housed at Nate’s Reptile Rescue in Pittsburgh where they can properly be cared for.
They will then be relocated to animal sanctuaries in southern states.
Surprisingly, alligators are not uncommon finds in Pittsburgh.
Nate’s Reptile Rescue has already taken in 30 of the beasts since its opening in 2020.
That was before their most recent haul of 10 from the home.
“Everyone we’ve taken in has been somebody’s pet at some point that they just thought would be a good idea and then quickly figured out, ‘Not too much,'” Nate Lysaght, founder of Nate’s Reptile Rescue, said to WTAE.
Wild and exotic animals shouldn’t be kept as pets, and several states have laws against owning such animals.
