Is Trey Yingst Israeli? Although he was born in Pennsylvania American journalist Trey Yingst works for Fox News as a foreign correspondent out of Jerusalem, Israel. Yingst has appeared on Fox News programs while reporting from the Gaza Strip and other locations in the Middle East.

Yingst was born near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and went to Central Dauphin High School there. He attended American University, where in 2016 he graduated with a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the School of Communication.

He broke the information in August 2019 about the Bonita Queen, an oil tanker that was transporting Iranian oil to Syria. The American government gave the tanker the okay two weeks after the Fox News report went live. 

Pierre Zakrzewski, one of Yingst’s go-to cameramen who had already worked with him in Afghanistan earlier that year, was killed by a Russian shell in March 2022 close to Kyiv. 

A Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall also suffered injuries in the incident. Yingst reflected on the departure of his colleague and said, “Pierre was as good as they come.”
