A RESTAURANT has rolled out a $50 fee for people who vomit during bottomless brunch – but it’s not the only place to do so.

In fact, several Bay Area restaurants have instituted the $50 cleaning fee for those who take bottomless mimosas too far.

Kitchen Story in Oakland, California is one spot where a sign has been posted alerting brunch-goers of the fee.

The sign urges mimosa lovers to “drink responsibly and know your limits.”

Those who don’t oblige will have the $50 cleaning fee automatically added to their bill.

Home Plate is a San Francisco restaurant that has implemented a similar charge.

Other Bay Area restaurants have reportedly begun placing time limits on bottomless brunches to combat the issue.

One spot, The Sycamore, has a “mimosa fairy.”

Co-owner Liz Ryan told SFGate: “We have a staff member who is a mimosa fairy. They bring a pitcher around that they use to refill glasses.

“There’s a [mimosa] station and it says this is for staff use only so please do not help yourself.”

Ryan said that by doing this, staffers can keep tabs on customers who are enjoying themselves too much.

“Our staff is trained to make sure our customers don’t overdo it,” Ryan said.

“Nobody wants to see people throwing up. That sort of spoils the party vibe that we’re trying to create.”

But customers have been left divided over the fee.

Several people commented on Facebook saying they support it.

“I feel for the person who has to clean up after them. The fee could cover cleaning supplies,” one person wrote.

“You play you pay!” another said.

Others, however, were confused as to why the fee would be needed when there are alternative solutions to bottomless brunch.

“Can’t they just limit the number of drinks?” one commented.

“Why not just stop serving once they’re at their limit?” another wrote.
