Who is ‘Turtleboy’ blogger Aidan Kearney?

Aidan Kearney is the creator of the Massachusetts-based news website, TB Daily News.

According to the site’s YouTube channel: “TB Daily News exposes the stories the mainstream media won’t and refuses to cater speech standards to the demands of woke mobs.”

Alongside TB Daily News, Kearney hosts a TB Live show every Tuesday and Saturday.

Since Kearney launched the website, the correlating YouTube channel has accumulated over 6.5million views.

What happened to Aidan Kearney?

For months, Aidan Kearney had been documenting the case of Karen Read on his website and channel.

Read is currently in prison after being charged with murdering her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe.

Despite her pleading not guilty, Read is set to go to trial on March 12, 2024.

In lieu of Kearney advocating Read’s innocence, the Massachusetts blogger had been confronting witnesses on the case.

This led to Kearney’s arrest where he was charged with one count of conspiracy and eight counts of intimidation of a witness, juror, police, or court officials on the Read case.

When was Aidan Kearney arrested?

Aiden Kearney was arrested on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, wearing a “Free Karen Read” sweatshirt.

Special Prosecutor Ken Mello said Massachusetts State Police arrested Kearney and took him to Stoughton District Court where he was arraigned.

According to local ABC affiliate WCVB, prosecutors asked that Kearney be held on a $1,000 cash bail and a GPS monitor, the judge released Kearney, however, with orders he must follow.

The judge ordered Kearney to stay away from all witnesses in relation to the Read case.

Contact with witnesses includes in-person, mail, email, text messages, phone, and social media.

If Kearney violates these orders, the judge can subject him to 90 days in jail without bail.
