Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift are swiftly becoming gal pals after cheering on their NFL beaus, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, during the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent games.

The quarterback’s wife is said to be excited about the prospect of becoming a member of the pop star’s squad, per an insider for US Weekly.

‘Brittany is thrilled to be building a genuine friendship with Taylor,’ the source said on Friday, after the ladies were rubbing elbows at the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium a day before.

Brittany and Taylor were even spotted in the stands sharing a hug after an incredible play by their superstar athlete partners. 

‘They’ve hung out a couple of times and have grown fairly close in a short period of time,’ the insider continued.

‘Brittany thinks Taylor is so sweet, and down to earth, and they get along really great.’

There’s been more than enough time for the women to make a connection, as Taylor has already attended three of Patrick and Travis’ games. 

It helps that the NFL teammates are also buddies off the field as well.

‘The fact that Patrick and Travis are best friends makes things even better,’ the insider explained. ‘[Brittany and Taylor] are having a blast and love cheering on their men together.’

Brittany and Taylor first broke bread at a ladies’ dinner in New York City in late September. 

This coincided with the Chiefs’ visit to face the New York Jets. Among Taylor’s friends attending were Sophie Turner and Blake Lively.

The very next day, the whole crew made their way to the MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. 

The Chiefs came out victorious against the Jets, and the group was joined by Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Sabrina Carpenter, and Hugh Jackman.

Brittany and Taylor’s blossoming friendship news comes after Taylor’s friends and Travis’ friends said the new couple make a ‘good match.’

The pop icon, who is wrapping up her Eras tour, and the NFL superstar, who is battling for another Super Bowl ring, are both extremely busy, but are ‘understanding of each other’s schedules’, making them a ‘good match’ in the eyes of their pals, according to a source for US Weekly on Friday.

‘It’s still so new, but they really like each other,’ the insider continued, as the couple went public just a few weeks ago. 

‘They’re supportive of each other and they don’t have to be by each other’s side all the time and that feels comfortable,’ the source added.

The source for US Weekly said there will be more football games in the future for Taylor, although it’s unlikely she will be able to catch the entire remaining schedule. 

‘Taylor doesn’t want to be a distraction to Travis,’ the insider explained. 

‘She knows it’s not easy when she shows up to his games. It’s a spectacle. She wants to support him and strike a balance while, at the same time, not be distracting to the team.’
