last Sunday, Jessica Flores Wauters, an unsuspecting pet owner was mauled to death by her rottweilers near Houston, Texas.
Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman told KHOU-TV that at least one of Wauters’s three dogs had turned on her, based on her injuries.
“They said it was consistent with a dog mauling,” said Herman.
The 59-year-old woman and one of her dogs were found covered in blood by the paramedics.
“The victim was still alive,” said Herman.

Blue, who also raises rottweilers herself, was surprised the dog could cause so much harm.
“With excellent training, they’re phenomenal dogs,” said Blue. “They’re very, very good dogs.”
She continues to explain to the news station that she couldn’t understand how this happened.
Blue revealed she never really saw any of her neighbor’s dogs, but would occasionally hear them bark from inside of her house.
“It appears just to be a tragic incident involving a dog,” said Herman.
The precinct constable revealed that there is still an ongoing investigation happening, as they wait for the medical examiner’s report.
Harris County Public Health has released a statement to the station following the horrific incident, updating the public on how they handled the dogs.
“Two dogs involved in an alleged mauling incident of a woman in her Tomball home on Sunday, October 8, were brought voluntarily by their owner to Harris County Pets Resource Center (HCP) today and were humanely euthanized. Their remains will be tested for rabies, a standard Veterinary Public Health procedure.”
“HCP was notified of a third dog involved in the incident. However, the dog was not brought to the facility.”
