BRUCE Moore, who was the longest-serving manager in Little Rock city history, has died at the age of 57.

The Arkansas city confirmed the news on October 14, 2023, but his cause of death has yet to be disclosed.

Who was Little Rock City manager Bruce Moore?

Bruce T. Moore was the longest-serving city manager in Little Rock, Arkansas, having served over two decades.

He went to Henderson State University for his undergraduate studies and then to Arkansas State University for his master’s in Public Administration.

Moore was appointed as city manager of Little Rock in December 2002.

Prior to being city manager, he worked as assistant city manager for over three years.

“During his time in service to the residents of Little Rock, City Manager Moore personified servant leadership,” a statement from the city read.

“He earned awards and accolades from across the country and around the world for his effective management, organization and expertise.”

On October 14, 2023, they announced that Moore had passed.

Moore “passed away peacefully overnight in his Little Rock home,” they noted.

Was Bruce Moore married?

Not much is known about Bruce Moore’s life, but he was once married to Lena Womack, with whom he shared one son, Luke Thomas Moore.

But prior to his death, Bruce was engaged to Siobhan Osborne.

What did Bruce Moore do for work?

Bruce Moore served the city of Little Rock for over 35 years.

He worked as the city manager under three different mayors.

In 2015, he was awarded the “Outstanding Public Administrator” by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for his years of service to the city, as well as his contributions to the development of the Clinton Presidential Center and Park.

He first started as an intern and then as assistant to the mayor.

He was then promoted to assistant to the city manager before being named assistant city manager in 1999.

Moore also worked with the Little Rock Board of Directors.
