A bus bound for Junagadh toppled on Sunday night in the Lakhtar taluka of Gujarat, not far from the Wana village. Around 12.15 in the morning, an ST bus from Deodar to Junagadh flipped close to Wana hamlet. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle owing to a rapid tyre burst, which led to the accident. Paramedics provided on-site care to passengers who suffered minor injuries before transferring them to the hospital for additional assessment and care.

Of the 55 to 60 passengers on the bus, about 40 received injuries and were sent to the hospital. According to BJP MLA Jagdish Makwana, two passengers have suffered critical injuries. Authorities are investigating the accident’s exact cause and trying to ascertain whether any external or negligent circumstances increased the severity of the injuries. The local administration has pledged to offer the injured passengers and their families all the support and help they need during this trying time.
